West Yellowstone

We enjoyed a very much needed vacation to West Yellowstone this past weekend. Our great friends Mandee and Clint invited us up there. We stayed at Mandee's parents cabin - they were so generous to feed us and let us stay there. It was awesome! You can read more about our trip here. My hubby took the above pic - pretty dang good!!!

I was completely excited when this gal - Elizabeth (who works down the hall from me...) asked me if I would take pictures of her wedding at the Bountiful Temple! I have a lot of people to thank for their help in getting me here....my friend Rory for recommending me in the first place - a HUGE THANKS! Heidi for coming and being my moral support and second shooter! And Scott Sumner for his mentoring, advice and time to help ease my crazy nervous stomach (check him out here - he is amazing!!). And then to Elizabeth for allowing me to be a part of her special and amazing day. You were a beautiful bride!

The "L" Family - Sneak peek

When Bry and I had been married a year, we bought our first home. And next door lived this family.... I can't believe how fast we became friends. Trish is one of the most giving and sweetest people I know (not to mention she is an awesome cook - especially to someone who hardly ever cooks -me!!). When we moved 2 1/2 years ago - I was so sad to be leaving her. I miss having her next door - especially since I don't get her yummy yummy treats anymore or get to visit with her as often as I used to. So, anyway, it made my whole day when she asked me to do their family pictures. These are her 3 BEAUTIFUL kiddos.

The "R" Fam - sneek peak

I have been crazy busy - which is good and bad. Bad - because it's taking me forever to post pics! I'm still in the process of getting my website setup....and now thinking it would've been a heck of a lot easier to just have hired someone to do it! (Any computer whizzes out there....help me out and you've got a free photoshoot! Just contact me at amblarsenphotos@yahoo.com ;)

Anyway, here's one of the shoots I did last month. I adore this family - and lucky for me - they are family! Kyle is my cousin and we've been close all growing up. I was so excited when he and his wife, Aimee, asked me to do their family pictures. Their little man just melts me - although he really didn't want anything to do with me! He'd see me with that camera and run the other way. Aren't his eyes amazing?! And I LOVED the colors they wore - since orange and green are my favorite colors.

Clint & Mandee Fam - sneek peak

Clint & Mandee are great friends. I've been friends with Mandee since we were in Jr. High, but have known each other since Elementary. I took their family pictures about the same time last year - you can see them here. I can't believe how much the girls have changed in a year!

Clint, thanks for being a good sport. I know how much you LOVE getting your pictures taken. ;) You're still a pain in my rear - jk
